DIY PROJECTS: Easter Bunny Jar

Can you believe that Easter is just around the corner? I wanted to surprise my friends and family with a little treat, so I have been holding on to old glass jars that I found in my recycling bin! Now that I have collected a few, I am going to start working on my new DIY project this weekend!

Tips: Before you start this project, make sure to cover your working surface with newspaper or a plastic tablecloth. You don’t want to get any paint on your kitchen or dining room table!

Begin by painting the lid of your jar with acrylic paint. Let it dry completely and then apply a second and third layer of paint as needed. Make sure you let each layer dry completely before you add the next. Apply layers until you can no longer see the original color of the lid. Once your lid is covered in paint, set aside and let dry. Next, apply your acrylic paint to the plastic bunny. Apply layers of paint to the bunny until the color is even, and the original color is completely covered. Set aside and let dry.

Now, take your plastic bunny and carefully apply super glue or double-sided tape to the bottom of your figurine and stick it on your jar lid. We would recommend asking an adult to help you with the super glue – you don’t want to glue your hands together! Next, take your washi tape and wrap it around your jar as you would like.

Once you're done wrapping, cut the end of your tape with scissors and stick to your jar. Cut the end of your tape with scissors and grab another roll of tape. You can combine different patterns or colors if you’d like! Add final touches and sparkle to your jar with adhesive gems (optional).

Once the lid is completely dry attach it to your jar. And don’t forget to fill the jar with your favorite Easter treats!

This is so cool! What are some treats to put in? I've been wondering. My favorite is Lindor, but I don't know what color to put in. Red? Pink? Blue?I just don't know! Other then that, I just love this so much! I really like the colors. I also really, really like this pattern. I guess that' all I have to say. :):):):)
